From Malmö to Miami

I grew up in Malmö, Sweden. Every Saturday, we bought candy. Not as a treat — as a ritual. You picked your own mix, weighed it, paid by the gram. The Swedish call it lördagsgodis. Saturday candy. It was the organizing principle of the week.

I moved to Miami and looked for it. Couldn't find it. Not the real thing — not the salmiak, the foam cars, the sour skulls that actually bite back. So in January 2024, I started importing it myself.
